I have often thought that there needs to be some kind of online authority – that can become widly known – not having to rely on the protocol of contacting web hosts etc. such a lengthy and frustrating business – but relying on good, honest opinion.
After all – the Internet is about perception – it is a publicity war.

A collection of good people – with honest, reliable credentials – a sort of online jury – that could be summoned in to evaluate each particular complaint.
Could then decide on a verdict of opinion – a balanced and intelligently arrived at view.

If this group started to get really well known, started to become trusted and valued – anyone wearing the badge of this group as a trusted member – anyone recieving a considered opinion from this group – if this group had a central site with reviews, write ups of all cases dealt with or under consideration – for cases just like yours and mine – defamation, injustice caused by the potential for quantity to outweigh quality.

The Internet needs a force, a presence actually Online – that is respected and honoured.
